Clemens Hofer...
...started playing the trumpet in the marching band of his homevillage at the age of ten. At the age of fifthteen he took the trombone and the euphonium as his main instruments. Eight years later he decided to study jazz and classical music at the Conservatory of Vienna. Between 2002 and 2005 he studied jazztrombone in Graz at the University of Arts.
Since 2005 Clemens Hofer is living in Vienna as a freelance composer and musician, working in different orchestras, chambermusic ensembles and jazzbands, as well as a teacher.
During the years until 2013 he studied privately in New York with the likes of Elliot Mason and Hal Crook and in Europe with Bo Nilsson and Stefan Schulz.
